Amazon Kindle 2 is now only $299 after recent price cuts. The e-reader launched at $399, then dropped to $359, and now is only $299.
As I wrote earlier, the Kindle 2 is a pretty decent way to read The New York Times and other news publications. However, you may prefer the larger Kindle DX for reading news on this device.
